Mr. A.T. Ahmedul Huq Choudhury, ppm was born on December 21, 1948 in Satgaon, Brahmanbaria. He is an MBA graduated from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka. He joined BCS(Police) in 1973 as Assistant Superintendent of Police(ASP). He served as Sub-divisional Police Officer(SDPO) and Superintendent of Police(SP) in different sub-divisions and districts. He also served as Deputy Police Commissioner (DPC) of Dhaka Metropoliton Police, Special Superintendent of Police(SSP) of Special Branch and Assistant Inspector General of Police(AIG) in the Police Headquaters. As Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) he served as Police Commissioner of Chittagong Metropoliton Police and Director, National Security and Intellengence (NSI). He was also in charge of Special Branch(SB) and Criminal Investigation Department (CID) as Additional Inspector General of Police. Mr. Choudhury held the post of Inspector General of Police (IGP) from 5th May 2005 till his retirement on December 20, 2005.

Mr. Choudhury attended 'Basic Training' in the Police Academy Sardah, Rajshahi; 24th ACAD in National Institute of Public Administrative (NIPA), Dhaka and 'Formulation of Development Project in Revised Proforma' in Academy for Planning and Development, Dhaka. He also attended 'General English Course' in Anglo-World Education, London, UK; Overseas Command Course in  Police Staff College, Bramshill, UK and '˜Senior Administrator Course' in MIV, London, UK. He attended number of seminars and workshops in Hawaii, Portorico, New York, Budapest. He also worked with United Nations as Provincial Commander of Civilian Police (CIVPOL) in Haiti in 1994 and 1995.

For his meritorious service, Mr. Choudhury was awarded 'IGP's Good Service Badge' in 1994, 'Commanders Award for Public Service' by US Defence department in 1995 and 'President Police Medal (PPM)' in 1999.

Mr. Choudhury joined Bangladesh Public Service Commission as Member and Chairman on 23 June, 2009 and 27 November 2011 respectively. He is associated with number of social organizations like, Brahmanbaria Samity, Greater Comilla Samity, Muslim Institute, Mymenshing, Officer's Club, Dhaka, Comilla Club, Uttara Club, Bangladesh MBA Association, IBA Alumlni Association, etc.

He is married and blessed with three daughters. His wife Minara Huq Foara completed BA (Hons), M.A in Philosophy from Dhaka University. His eldest daughter Engr. Tropa Choudhury is Senior Business Analyst of Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC), Toronto, second daughter Arch. Tanita Choudhury is working with K.K. Architects in NY, USA and youngest daughter Tairka Choudhury is a final year student of Business Studies in the University of Toronto (UoFT), Canada.

Syed Hasinur Rahman was born on February 1, 1951 in Rangpur Town. His home district is Sherpur. His spouse is Nighat Jahan. He has one son and one daughter. He obtained his BA(Hons.) and MA degrees in History from Dhaka University. He joined the Bangladesh Civil Service (Administration) cadre on January 30, 1981 and started his career as an Assistant Commissioner. He attended various training programs at home and abroad. Since joining he served the Govt. in different capacities including UNO, Tongibari, Munshiganj; Senior Assistant Secretary, Ministry of Housing & Public Works; Senior Assistant Secretary, Ministry of Establishment; Senior Assistant Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Gazipur; Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture; Deputy Secretary, Planning Division; Deputy Commissioner, Pabna; Joint Secretary, Ministry of Land; Additional Secretary, Parliament Secretariat and Additional Secretary, Ministry of Information.

He retired from the service on January 31, 2009. Thereafter, he joined Bangladesh Public Service Commission as a Member on July 29, 2009. 

Professor Dr. Farida Adib Khanum, MBBS, M.Phil, WHO Fellow.

Farida Adib Khanum was born on 2nd January, 1949 in Dhaka. Her home district is Natore. She obtained her MBBS degree from Rajshahi Medical College under the University of Rajshahi in 1973. She did her post graduate course in IPGM&R, Dhaka and got M. Phil(in Physiology) degree from University of Dhaka in 1981. She went to Bankok, Thailand in 1985 for higher training in the field of reproductive physiology for 1 year. During her profession she joined as in-service training in 1973. After 1 year she was appointed as Assistant Surgeon in Rajshahi Medical College. She was posted as lecturer of physiology in Rajshahi Medical College and Rangpur Medical College from 1974 to 1979. In 1979, she was deputed to IPGM&R for higher study. She was promoted as Assistant Professor and Associate Professor in 1981 and 1985 respectively. She joined in Barisal Medical College as Professor of Physiology in 1992. She was appointed as Principal, Comilla Medical College in 1997 and Sir Salimullah Medical College in 2000. In 2001, she made Joint Secretary, Govt. of Bangladesh and joined as Director General, Prime-Minister's Office. She also posted as joint Secretary, Ministry of Education. She retired from Govt. Service on 1st January, 2006. On July 29, 2009 she joined as Member, Bangladesh Public Service Commission. She got married with Engr. Md. Atikul Islam and they have two daughters and two sons.

Muhammad Liaquat Ali Khan, NDC

Mr. Liaquat Ali Khan was born on 30th November, 1950 in Gazaria Upazila under Munshiganj District. His fathers name is Muhammed Zafor Ali Khan & mothers name is Begum Abedonnesa. He obtained his B.Sc. degree form Jagannath College under Dhaka University and M.A in Journalism from the same University in the year 1970 & 1974(session -1972) respectively. He did Diploma in Human Rights from Lund University, Sweden and NDC course from National Defense college, Dhaka in the year 1995 & 2002 respectively. Mr. Khan actively participated in the liberation war of Bangladesh. He joined in the Prisons Department as Deputy Superintendent, Central Jail in 1974. He received Mother Teresa Gold Medal in 2001 from a voluntary organization for his special contribution to Prisons Administration. He retired from government Service as Inspector General of Prisons. Mr. khan joined in Bangladesh Public Service Commission as Member on 30th December, 2009. He is married with 1 son and 1 daughter.

Md. Wazed Ali Khan

Mr. Md. Wazed Ali Khan was born on Junuary 03, 1951. He hails from Vill- Bhawra under Upazila-Mirzapur in the District of Tangail. His father`s name is Md. Asmat Ali Khan and Mother`s name Mosammat Hasina Banu. His spouse is Mrs. Rehana Khan. He is blessed with one son and one daughter. His son Md. Azmal Mahmud Khan is a Lecturer in the Department of International Relations in Chittagong University and his daughter Nusrat Tamanna Khan is a student of B.S.S (Hons) in the Department of Political Science in Dhaka University. Mr. Khan passed S.S.C from Mirzapur S.K. High School & H.S.C from Sa`dat College Karatia, Tangail. He obtained his B.A (Hons) and M.A degree in Political Science from Dhaka University.

He served as a Lecturer in Political Science in Noakhali Govt. College, Noakhali and Victoria Govt. College, Comilla from October 11, 1976 to January 28, 1981. While serving in Victoria Govt. College Comilla he appeared at the Superior Posts examination held in 1979 and joined the Bangladesh Civil Service (Administration) Cadre on January 30, 1981. He received Foundation Training from Civil Officers` Training Academy (COTA), Shahbagh, Dhaka. He joined as an Assistant Commissioner in Pabna Collectorate.  Since his joining the Bangladesh Civil Service he worked in various important positions including Upazila Magistrate, Shahjadpur, Sirajganj, Trying Magistrate Meherpur, Trying Magistrate Kishoreganj, Metropolitan Magistrate, Dhaka, UNO Habiganj Sadar and Srimongal, Moulvibazar, Deputy Director Bureau of Anti-corruption, Dhaka, Senior Asstt. Besides, he visited Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, United Arab Emirates, Mauritius and South Africa.    

He retired from service as Additional Secretary on January 02, 2008. He is actively involved in different socio-economic development activities of his locality.

He also served as the Managing Director of Small Farmers Development Foundation, an organization under the Rural Development and Co-operatives Division,  from April 16, 2008 to September 15, 2010.

Mr. Khan joined the Bangladesh Public Service Commission as a member on September 16, 2010.

Professor Dr. Shariff Enamul Kabir

Professor Dr. Shariff Enamul Kabir was born on 28 February, 1955, in a remote village at the district of Gopalganj. His father is Late Shariff Abdul Mannan and mother Late Fazorun Nessa. He is married to Mahfuza Begum; and, they have got one son and one daughter. Professor Kabir exhibited extraordinary talents and merits althrough his years of study. He took an active role in the Liberation War in 1971. Over the last three decades, he has established himself as a brilliant teacher and world-class researcher.

Professor Kabir obtained his B Sc (Hons.) degree securing First Class Second position and M Sc degree securing First Class First position from the Department of Chemistry at Jahangirnagar University in 1975 and 1976, respectively. Being a Commonwealth scholar, he earned his PhD degree in Cluster Chemistry from the University College London in 1986. Professor Kabir joined as Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry at Jahangirnagar University in 1979. He was appointed to the posts of Assistant Professor in 1983, Associate Professor in 1987, and Professor in 1992.

Professor Kabir has written more than 275 research articles, which are published in different nationally and internationally recognized journals. He has made substantial contribution to research in the areas of Trimetallic Cluster Chemistry, Supramolecular Chemistry, Nano Chemistry, Dinuclear Organometallic Chemistry, Mixed-Metal Cluster Chemistry, Mononuclear Organometallic Chemistry, Catalyic Applications of Organometallic Complexes, Applications of Organotransition Metal Complexes in Organic Synthesis, P-C, C-C and C-H bonds cleavage reactions mediated by polynuclear compounds,  Ligand substitution reactions in Polynuclear Chalcogentethered Clusters, synthesis and characterization of new Organometallic compounds, promoting catalytic reactions under mild conditions, and so forth. 

Over the years, Professor Kabir has received a large number of rewards, prizes, and fellowships in recognition of his outstanding contribution to education and research. He has been honoured with the University Grants Commission Award in 1990, the Royal Society of Chemistry Research Fund Award in 1993, 1994, and 1995, Bangladesh Academy of Sciences Gold Medal (Senior Group) in 1998, and Bangladesh Academy of Sciences M. O. Ghani Gold Medal Award in 2008. In addition, he received Commonwealth Scholarship in 1983, Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship in 1994, Post-Doctoral Fellowship (in the University of Montana, USA) in 1994, and Post-Doctoral Fellowship (in the California State University Northridge, USA) in 1989.

Dr. Kabir, a professor of international repute, worked as a Visiting Professor at California State University Northridge, USA, from 1989 to 1991; and at Montana University, USA, from 2003 to 2005. Moreover, he enjoyed the prestigious positions of Commonwealth Scholar at University College London from 1983 to 1986, Humboldt Fellow at Freiburg University, Germany, from 1994 to 1996, and Royal Society Research Fellow at University College London, UK, in 2003 and 2007, General Secretary of Bangladesh Chemical Society in 2009-2010, and Vice-President of Bangladesh Association for the Advancement of Sciences in 2010-2012.

At present, Professor Kabir is a Fellow of Bangladesh Academy of Sciences, Bangladesh Chemical Society, and Royal Society of Chemistry. Besides, he is actively involved in several collaborative research projects at the University College London, Göttingen University, Germany, Lund University, Sweden, Montana University, USA, Tennessee State University, USA, Wisconsin University, USA, Emory University, USA, University of North Texas, USA, and IIT Bombay and IIT Indore, India. Moreover, he has participated and presented papers in many national and international workshops, conferences, and seminars, and so far supervised 15 Ph. D., 3 M. Phil., and more than 200 M. Sc. programme researchers.

Professor Kabir greatly contributed to the Liberation War of Bangladesh through his dynamic organizing capability. In 1971, under the ninth sector of the freedom fighters, he worked as an organizer in the area of Kashiani and Muksudpur in Gopalganj district. During the war, he motivated, inspired and organized the local people, who cooperated with the freedom fighters in varied manners. 

Professor Kabir is now working as a member of Bangladesh Public Service Commission, which he joined on 02 August, 2012, after taking leave from Jahangirnagar University. Before joining the Bangladesh Public Service Commission, he hold many important positions in the Jahangirnagar University. He was its Vice-Chancellor, Treasurer, a Senate Member, a Syndicate member and the General Secretary, and the  President of Jahangirnagar University Teachers’ Association in different years. He is  currently the President of the Association of Humboldt Fellows Bangladesh.
